Nobody likes surprises. Especially the sort where you think you know how much a thing will cost, then you send an enquiry off only to find out that it was twice how much you thought it would be. So not only are you devastated that it will take you eleven billionty years to save up enough money for the thing, but the person who sells the thing is now sending you follow-up emails for the remainder of your life.

Well for starters, I only follow up once. I hate being stalked, so I’m not going to do that to anyone else. And secondly, I like to be upfront about what things cost.
