Before I got the opportunity to follow my two passions of writing and design, I worked in Finance and IT.
I’m ashamed to say, those jobs gnawed away at my soul until I realised that I needed to be able to give my creative mind more room to play. One of the up-sides of the work I had done, was being involved in starting a number of businesses that went on to be profitable and successful. I loved the combination of creativity, strategic thinking and common sense that this offered me.

Your customers want to do business with people they can trust and who know what they’re doing. They’ll invariably choose to work with someone who is easy to deal with and makes it clear what they have to offer. Potential customers would rather have the facts before they get on the phone, so that they’re not pressured into saying yes to something they will probably regret once they’ve had a chance to do their research.
The way they will do this is by visiting you on-line. What do you think they’ll do if they get to a website that’s poorly written, generic looking, vague or badly out of date, without all of the information they need about you? They might overlook these things if you come with a strong recommendation from a friend, but if not, they won’t hesitate to click back to Google and keep on looking.
